Family Law CASA Staff

Caroline D. Davis is the Executive Director and Attorney for the Family Law CASA program. Caroline has been licensed as an attorney since 1979 and her primary practice area was family law. She also worked as a private guardian ad litem and continues to speak frequently at GAL trainings. She is a past president of the King County Bar Association and previously served as a CASA volunteer and a part time staff attorney for the program.

Maureen Englund joined the Family Law CASA program in May 2007 as a CASA Supervisor. Prior to CASA, Maureen spent the last 18 years in senior living management, most recently as the Executive Director of an upscale Continuing Care Retirement Community in downtown Seattle. She volunteers as a Dependency CASA through the Regional Justice Center in Kent for abused and neglected children. Maureen has a degree in juvenile corrections and spent four years working at a residential treatment center for incarcerated male youth in San Antonio, Texas.

Michael Woodsum leads all fundraising and community outreach efforts for Family Law CASA. He has a background in writing and project management, and has worked as a development officer for the last five years. Mike is an active member of the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association’s board of directors.

Karen Keys brings 25 years of experience as a mental health and social services professional to her role as a volunteer supervisor at Family Law CASA. Her background includes a Master of Science degree in Training and Leadership, as well as fluency in Spanish. Karen devotes some of her free time to volunteering as Editor of Naptural Roots community magazine.

Michelle Safford is the administrative assistant for the program. She processes the paperwork for the volunteers and the staff including creating case files. Michelle also handles all incoming calls and faxes.
