Become a CASA Volunteer
Join our family of advocates for children.
We are looking for volunteers to act as Family Law CASAs (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in King County. To become a CASA volunteer a person must submit a complete application and participate in an interview with CASA staff members. You may apply online or request an application to be sent to you in the mail. The application includes a personal profile, work history, background information (criminal, driving, volunteer) and requires three references and a one page essay about why you wish to volunteer on behalf of children.
Applicants must be 21 years or older and have no criminal history or pending criminal or family law cases. This information is used for the sole purpose of screening applicants, so we can ensure the highest quality volunteer work. Once a completed application is submitted online or returned via mail, the three references have been checked and a criminal background check completed, we will schedule an interview. We will notify applicants after the interview if they have been accepted into the training. Those volunteers accepted into the program then begin the training process.
Complete the Volunteer Application Form.
